North Carolina High School Basketball - Olympic can't hold off Porter Ridge

Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Olympic Trojans (Charlotte, NC), 44-37 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Porter Ridge advances its record to 9-1 on the year. The Pirates travel to Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 20. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Mount Pleasant won 36-33 in their recent non-league challenge against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Langtree Charter Academy Lions (Mooresville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 21. Olympic will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 67-43 league loss to Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC).
