The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Joel Barlow Falcons (Redding, CT) and the host Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), witnessed Joel Barlow's ice hockey team defeat Staples by a final score of 5-2.
The Falcons (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Newington Co-op (Newington, CT). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Newington Co-op got by Tri-Town (Ellington, CT), 6-1, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wreckers battle the Wilton Warriors (Wilton, CT) in a FCIAC challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Staples will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
