Texas High School Basketball - La Jolla Country Day thwarts Cypress Springs

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the La Jolla Country Day Torreys (La Jolla, CA) and the host Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX), observed La Jolla Country Day's basketball team knock off Cypress Springs by a score of 52-43.

The Torreys (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherokee Trail (Aurora, CO). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Cherokee Trail knocked off Legend (Parker, CO), 74-60, in a non-league battle.

The Panthers now own a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Osbourn Park for a non-league battle on Friday, December 19. Cypress Springs will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 65-42 non-league loss to Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-2.
