Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) and the visiting Burlington-Edison Tigers (Burlington, WA), saw Squalicum's basketball squad hold off Burlington-Edison by a count of 48-43.

With the victory, Squalicum upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 3-4.

Next up, the Tigers play the Cedarcrest Red Wolves (Duvall, WA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, December 20. Burlington-Edison will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Red Wolves go into the test with a 2-4 record after their 63-57 league loss to Monroe (Monroe, WA).
