Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Durango Trailblazers (Las Vegas, NV), 58-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mater Dei upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, FL) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Calvary Christian Academy won 79-63 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA)

Next up, the Trailblazers clash with the Roman Catholic Cahillite (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Durango will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Cahillite go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 79-42 non-league win over West Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA).
