Oakwood Hawks (Morgan Hill, CA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Evergreen Valley Cougars (San Jose, CA), 78-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Oakwood upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Hawks host Salinas (Salinas, CA) to play the Cowboys in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Cowboys come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Salinas lost 63-45 in their recent non-league bout against Santa Teresa (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Silver Creek Raiders (San Jose, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 23. Evergreen Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 50-45 non-league win over Del Mar (San Jose, CA).
