Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Knox County Eagles (Edina, MO) and the host Highland Cougars (Ewing, MO), saw Knox County's basketball squad hold off Highland by a count of 51-46.

With the victory, Knox County upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Fayette (Fayette, MO) to play the Falcons in a Lewis & Clark challenge on Friday, January 13. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Cougars play the Monroe City Panthers (Monroe City, MO) in a Clarence Cannon challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record.
