Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School Panthers (Holyoke, MA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA), 67-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Pioneer Valley Regional (Northfield, MA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 23. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Pioneer Valley Regional won 72-46 in their recent league bout against Smith Academy (Hatfield, MA)

Next up, the Purple Knights play the Chicopee Pacers (Chicopee, MA) in a Valley bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Holyoke will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Pacers go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 61-54 non-league loss to Northampton (Northampton, MA).
