Lafayette County Huskers (Higginsville, MO) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Marshall Owls (Marshall, MO), 81-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lafayette County upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Huskers host Montgomery County (Montgomery City, MO) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Montgomery County won 51-48 in their recent league bout against North Callaway (Kingdom City, MO)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Kirksville Tigers (Kirksville, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 78-68 league loss to Fulton (Fulton, MO).
