Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Phelps Hornets (Phelps, KY), 78-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lawrence County upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. East Ridge lost 78-57 in their recent league challenge against Pikeville (Pikeville, KY)

Next up, the Hornets confront the Twin Valley Panthers (Pilgrims Knob, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Phelps will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 52-27 non-league loss to Hurley (Hurley, VA).
