The Smith Academy Falcons basketball team (Hatfield, MA), was overwhelmed 72-46 in Monday's league battle with the host Pioneer Valley Regional Panthers (Northfield, MA)

The Panthers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School for a non-league battle on Friday, December 23. Pioneer Valley Regional will battle a Panthers team coming off a 67-58 non-league win over Holyoke (Holyoke, MA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.

The Falcons (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hampshire Regional (Westhampton, MA). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Hampshire Regional was overwhelmed by Monson (Monson, MA), 44-42, in a league battle.
