Cardinal Newman Crusaders (West Palm Beach, FL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Windermere Prep Lakers (Windermere, FL), 47-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cardinal Newman upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Crusaders travel to North Broward Prep (Coconut Creek, FL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-3. North Broward Prep won 71-43 in their recent non-league bout against Episcopal School of Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL)

Next up, the Lakers play the Lake Region Thunder (Eagle Lake, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Windermere Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 72-16 non-league win over Ridgeview Global Studies Academy (Davenport, FL).
