Georgia High School Basketball - Clinch County nips Pierce County

Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA), 55-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Clinch County upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Irwin County (Ocilla, GA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Irwin County lost 47-40 in their recent non-league bout against Berrien (Nashville, GA)

Next up, the Bears play the Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Pierce County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 49-36 non-league loss to Long County (Ludowici, GA).
