Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Douglass Indians (Douglass, TX) and the host Hemphill Hornets (Hemphill, TX), saw Douglass's basketball squad wallop Hemphill by a tally of 73-26.

With the victory, Douglass improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Overton (Overton, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge on Friday, December 30. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 9-8.

Next up, the Hornets confront the Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX) in a 3A Region III District 21 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Hemphill will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record.
