The River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Newman Central Catholic Comets to 13 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.
The Wildcats now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pecatonica for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 21. River Ridge/Scales Mound will battle a Indians team coming off a 54-17 non-league win over Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL). The Indians record now stands at 9-5.
The Comets (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Forreston (Forreston, IL). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Forreston triumphed over Oregon (Oregon, IL), 60-47, in a non-league contest.
