Amsterdam Rams (Amsterdam, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Queensbury Spartans (Queensbury, NY), 61-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Amsterdam upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Rams host Scotia-Glenville (Scotia, NY) to play the Tartans in a Section 2 Foothills bout on Friday, December 22. The Tartans go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Scotia-Glenville won 51-48 in their recent league bout against Broadalbin-Perth (Broadalbin, NY)

Next up, the Spartans play the Schuylerville Horses (Schuylerville, NY) in a Section 2 Foothills bout, on Friday, December 22. Queensbury will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Horses go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 62-60 league loss to Hudson Falls (Hudson Falls, NY).
