Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ), 80-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Astoria upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Fishermen host North Valley (Grants Pass, OR) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-4. North Valley won 61-60 in their recent non-league bout against Bandon (Bandon, OR)

Next up, the Gophers clash with the San Tan Foothills Sabercats (Queen Creek, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Florence will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
