Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Avonworth trounces Union Area

The Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) basketball crushed the host Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA), 91-63 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Antelopes (5-2) will now prepare for their test against State College (State College, PA). The Little Lions go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, State College was trounced by Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA), 63-42, in a league test.

The Scotties now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 20. Union Area will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 56-52 league loss to Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-5.
