The Taft Golden Eagles basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Columbus Blue Steel to 57 in the Golden Eagles league victory on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dodge Vocational for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 20. Taft will battle a Panthers team coming off a 92-39 league loss to DeWitt Clinton (Bronx, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 0-4.

The Blue Steel (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lehman (Bronx, NY). The Lions come into the PSAL AAA Bronx contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Lehman was nudged by Tuitt (Bronx, NY), 60-34, in a league contest.
