North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Academy trounced by Covenant Day

December 19, 2023: Matthews, NC 28105

The Covenant Day Lions routed the visiting Union Academy Cardinals basketball team by a final score of 77-38 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Lions face the Concord Academy Eagles (Concord, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, December 21. Covenant Day will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 8-7 record after their 78-75 non-league loss to Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC).

With the defeat, Union Academy moves to 1-8 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Valor Preparatory Academy (Concord, NC) to face the Owls in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 27. The Owls enter the game with a record of 3-4. Valor Preparatory Academy lost 66-60 in their recent non-league game against Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC)
