Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Red Oak Tigers (Red Oak, IA), 76-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Denison-Schleswig upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Creston (Creston, IA) to play the Panthers in a Hawkeye Ten bout on Friday, January 5. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 1-4.

Next up, the Tigers play the Maryville Spoofhounds (Maryville, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Red Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
