Mt. Pleasant Cardinals (San Jose, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA), 54-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Pleasant upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA) to clash with the Acorns in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Acorns go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Live Oak lost 68-48 in their recent non-league bout against Pioneer (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the North Salinas Vikings (Salinas, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Gilroy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 78-38 non-league loss to Alisal (Salinas, CA).
