The Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars basketball team (Cooperstown, ND), was toppled 59-49 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN)

The Eagles now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton for a AA Section 2 battle on Tuesday, December 19. Maple River will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-54 non-league loss to Blooming Prairie (Blooming Prairie, MN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.

The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg (Drayton, ND). The Titans come into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Drayton/Valley-Edinburg was toppled by Cavalier (Cavalier, ND), 71-55, in a league battle.
