Virginia High School Basketball - Jefferson overwhelms James Wood

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) and the host James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA), saw Jefferson's basketball team trounce James Wood by a tally of 82-43.

The Cougars now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host North County for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 21. Jefferson will confront a Knights team coming off a 64-59 non-league loss to Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.

The Colonels (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty (Bealeton, VA). The Eagles come into the Northwestern battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Liberty was overwhelmed by Handley (Winchester, VA), 67-44, in a league battle.
