Minnesota High School Basketball - Nashwauk-Keewatin can't hold off McGregor

The McGregor Mercuries basketball team scored 74 points and held the host Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans to 67 in the Mercuries league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mercuries now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carlton/Wrenshall for a A Section 7 contest on Thursday, December 21. McGregor will battle a team coming off a 81-66 league loss to North Woods (Cook, MN). The record now stands at 5-1.
The Spartans (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] (Eveleth, MN). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] nudged Proctor (Proctor, MN), 87-32, in a non-league contest.
