New Hope Christian Academy Statesmen (Circleville, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH), 72-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, New Hope Christian Academy upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Statesmen travel to Westfall (Williamsport, OH) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Westfall won 70-43 in their recent league bout against Huntington (Chillicothe, OH)

Next up, the Green Wave play the Danville Blue Devils (Danville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Newark Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
