With the victory, Newton County improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Richland (Richland, MS) to confront the Rangers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Rangers come into the challenge with a record of 6-7.

Next up, the Bobcats confront the Pisgah Dragons (Sandhill, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Sebastopol will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 74-41 non-league win over Wesson (Wesson, MS).
