Carlsbad Lancers (Carlsbad, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns (Vista, CA), 52-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carlsbad upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Lancers travel to Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, CA) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Rancho Bernardo won 58-42 in their recent non-league bout against El Camino (Oceanside, CA)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Rancho Buena Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 48-24 non-league win over San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA).
