The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Peoria Panthers to 27 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kellis for a contest on Friday, January 12.

The Panthers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North (Gilbert, AZ). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North triumphed over Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ), 53-41, in a non-league contest.
