Nebraska High School Basketball - Gothenburg crushes Amherst

December 19, 2023: Gothenburg, NE 69138

Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Amherst Broncos (Amherst, NE), 53-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gothenburg upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Swedes host McCook (McCook, NE) to clash with the Bison in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Broncos clash with the Kearney Catholic Stars (Kearney, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Amherst will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Stars go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 36-30 non-league win over Boone Central (Albion, NE).
