The Monroe Bearcats basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Cascade Bruins to 24 in the Bearcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bearcats now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln for a 3A Metro contest on Thursday, December 21.

The Bruins (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Marysville-Pilchuck (Marysville, WA). The Tomahawks enter the 2A/3A Wesco contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Marysville-Pilchuck was routed by Cedarcrest (Duvall, WA), 64-14, in a league contest.
