Chalmette Owls (Chalmette, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Central Lafourche Trojans (Raceland, LA), 43-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chalmette upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Owls travel to Slidell (Slidell, LA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Slidell won 65-46 in their recent non-league bout against De La Salle (New Orleans, LA)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Hahnville Tigers (Boutte, LA) in a 5A District 7 bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Central Lafourche will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 47-27 non-league win over Ouachita Christian (Monroe, LA).
