Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), 58-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Coventry upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Oakers travel to Mt. Pleasant (Providence, RI) to play the Kilties in a Division 2 bout on Thursday, December 21. The Kilties go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Mt. Pleasant lost 82-37 in their recent league bout against Shea (Pawtucket, RI)

Next up, the Thunderbolts play the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Thursday, December 21. Cranston East will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Sentinels go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 58-33 league loss to Moses Brown (Providence, RI).
