The Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Mekeel Christian Academy Lions to 35 in the Fordians non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Fordians now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cohoes for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27.

The Lions (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Middleburgh (Middleburgh, NY). The Knights enter the Section 2 Western contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Middleburgh was nudged by Northville (Northville, NY), 60-17, in a league contest.
