The Vale Vikings basketball team (Vale, OR), was nudged 57-56 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Weiser Wolverines (Weiser, ID)
The Wolverines now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Homedale for a 3A Snake River Valley battle on Thursday, January 4. Weiser will battle a Trojans team coming off a 41-34 non-league loss to Caldwell (Caldwell, ID). The Trojans record now stands at 4-8.
The Vikings (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Lakeview (Lakeview, OR). The Honkers come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Lakeview edged Modoc (Alturas, CA), 41-35, in a non-league battle.
