Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN), 22-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chesterton upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Trojans host Lake Central (St. John, IN) to play the Indians in a bout on Monday, January 15. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 6-1.

Next up, the Kougars play the Freshman Opponent (, ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Kankakee Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record.
