Jacksonville Cardinals (Jacksonville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC), 61-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jacksonville upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC) to clash with the Stallions in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Stallions go into the bout with a record of 1-6.

Next up, the Pirates clash with the New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Swansboro will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 45-42 non-league win over Martin County (Williamston, NC).
