Next, the Greyhounds encounter the Walnut Ridge Bobcats (Walnut Ridge, AR) in a 3A Region 3 test, on Friday, December 20. Newport will attempt to improve on its 9-2 season record.

The Eagles (7-9) will now prepare for their test against Marked Tree (Marked Tree, AR). The Indians come into the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Marked Tree beat Hillcrest (Strawberry, AR), 66-46, in a league test.
