The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Eau Claire Shamrocks (Columbia, SC) and the host Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC), observed Eau Claire's basketball team overcome Gilbert by a score of 69-55.

The Shamrocks (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Chester (Chester, SC). The Cyclones come into the AA Region 3 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Chester dropped by Union County (Union, SC), 75-60, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Northside Christian Academy Crusaders (Lexington, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 20. Gilbert will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 72-62 non-league win over Southside Christian (Simpsonville, SC).
