In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Green Mountain Chieftains basketball team scored a big 57-32 triumph over the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave.

The Chieftains (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bellows Falls (Bellows Falls, VT). The Terriers go into the Southern Vermont - B contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Bellows Falls was trounced by Windsor (Windsor, VT), 48-34, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Green Wave battle the Mt. Abraham Eagles (Bristol, VT) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Mt. St. Joseph Academy will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 51-39 non-league loss to Randolph (Randolph, VT).
