California High School Basketball - Making Waves Academy nips Mare Island Tech Academy

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Making Waves Academy Marlins basketball team scored a close 48-45 win over the Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins.

The Marlins (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Castlemont (Oakland, CA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Castlemont was tipped by Irvington (Fremont, CA), 72-21, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Griffins battle the Oakland Charter Matadors (Oakland, CA) in a Bay Area Charter contest, on Friday, January 10. Mare Island Tech Academy will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record.
