The Monmouth Academy Mustangs basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Mountain Valley Falcons to 31 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Waynflete for a C South game on Saturday, December 28. Monmouth Academy will confront a Flyers team coming off a 54-52 league win over Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME). The Flyers record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Mountain Valley falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Falcons host Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME) to confront the Capers in a B South game on Saturday, December 21. The Capers go into the game with a record of 1-3. Cape Elizabeth won 63-58 in their recent non-league game against Freeport (Freeport, ME)
