In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Murrieta Valley Nighthawks basketball team scored a big 73-30 triumph over the Poway Titans.

The Nighthawks (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA). The Aztecs go into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Palm Desert was trounced by Oak Hills (Hesperia, CA), 78-49, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Titans battle the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns (Vista, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 20. Poway will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Longhorns go into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 67-45 non-league loss to St. Augustine (San Diego, CA).
