In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Canby Cougars basketball team scored a good 71-55 triumph over the North Eugene Highlanders.
The Cougars (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Grant (Portland, OR). The Generals go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Grant was topped by Tualatin (Tualatin, OR), 65-25, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Highlanders battle the Hillsboro Spartans (Hillsboro, OR) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. North Eugene will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 48-42 non-league loss to St. Helens (St. Helens, OR).
