The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Pittsburg Panthers (Pittsburg, OK) and the visiting Varnum Whippets (Seminole, OK), observed Pittsburg's basketball team overcome Varnum by a score of 43-31.

The Panthers (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Savanna (Savanna, OK). The Bulldogs come into the Pittsburg Eight challenge with a 3-3 record.

In their next game, the Whippets battle the Macomb Hornets (Macomb, OK) in a Little River challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Varnum will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record.
