The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) and the host Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC), observed East Rowan's basketball team overcome Salisbury by a margin of 29-14.

The Mustangs (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, South Iredell dropped by Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC), 27-17, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 20. Salisbury will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 46-21 non-league loss to South Rowan (China Grove, NC).
