The Stevenson Pirates basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting San Lorenzo Valley Cougars to 47 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Palma for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. Stevenson will confront a Chieftains team coming off a 70-30 non-league loss to Salinas (Salinas, CA). The Chieftains record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, San Lorenzo Valley falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Westmont (Campbell, CA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Friday, December 20. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 3-0. Westmont won 52-44 in their recent non-league game against Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA)
