In Friday's non-league test, the Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM) basketball team were winner over the host Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM), by a tally of 42-33.
The Bears now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Gateway Christian for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 13. Cloudcroft will play a Warriors team coming off a 51-40 non-league loss to New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Mountainair moves to 4-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Dexter (Dexter, NM) to encounter the Demons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 20. The Demons come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Dexter lost 47-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Dora (Dora, NM)
