The Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers basketball team scored 20 points and held the visiting Carrollton Hawks to 19 in the Tigers league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Routt Catholic for a Western Illinois Valley contest on Monday, December 6. Greenfield/Northwestern will battle a Rockets team coming off a 55-19 league win over Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 6-1.

The Hawks (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Hornets enter the Western Illinois Valley contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Brown County nudged West Prairie (Sciota, IL), 85-32, in a non-league contest.
