Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) and the host Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV), saw Pershing County's basketball squad overcome Smith Valley by a tally of 33-16.

With the victory, Pershing County improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV) to confront the Serpents in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 3. The Serpents come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Incline Highlanders (Incline Village, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 3. Smith Valley will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
